WE WANTED TO MAKE AN IMPACT on the lives of impoverished Mexicans. A group from Whatcom County, WA planned their first mission trip to Baja, Mexico in 2000. They wanted to share Jesus with the needy in the Baja. It was the beginning of Missions Network International (MNI). In just a few years, with the help of other mission teams, several homes for poor families had been built. Also a medical clinic to provide for the community’s health needs.
MNI is a Christian, inter-denominational, non-profit, outreach organization. Its headquarters are located in Lynden, WA. MNI operates the Mount of Olives Children’s Village in Uruapan, Baja, Mexico.
The children’s village is a program that shelters street children and orphans. Through the child sponsorship program children are placed and cared for in our orphanage. Our primary concern is to provide security, stability and continuity in a loving home atmosphere. There they can grow and develop as part of a loving extended family watched over by caring parents. They are educated at the local schools and can choose to go on to university or learn a trade. Our goal is for them to be happy, healthy, productive adults who will reach out in love to anyone in need.
THANK YOU FOR PRAYERS for Mount of Olives Children’s Village.
