Juanito is 3-years old. He’s pretty small for
his age. He loves attention from big guys and will hang around their necks as long
as he’s allowed. He’s learning to ask for things nicely and how to count. He’s also
learning things like coloring within lines, and dressing by himself. He loves
toy cars and often hides them in his bed with crayons and other treasures. Juanito’s
older brother is Alejandro. When Juanito came to us he was withdrawn and his belly
was swollen due to parasites. He is healthy both physically and emotionally
and can not get enough love.

Luis is 6 years old and has been
with us for about 4 months. He has a quiet nature to him and great smile.
He did really well in school this year, and we recently saw him graduate from his
class last year with very high marks. This little guy came from a very broken
home and the healing nature of Mt. of Olives has affected him greatly as we see
him trusting more and more. He loves to color, and draws really well.
We look forward to seeing him grow more and more and pray that the influence of
Godly love will continue to impact him greatly.

Maria is 6-years-old.
She is always smiling or laughing. Her favorite English phrase is “What’s your name?”
and she will ask it all the time. She loves to be picked up and flipped over. She
is a really good listener and helps in the house a lot. She just finished Kindergarten
and is very excited to start first grade this fall. She will turn seven on Christmas
Day this year. Maria lives here with her older brothers, Javier and Jose, and younger
sister, Selene.

Martin is 5-years-old. He is a silly little
guy whose personality really stands out. He likes toy cars, coloring, tonka trucks,
and climbing on rocks. When the big kids are doing schoolwork, he likes to try and
copy letters too. While he is very young, he can just listen to someone speak English,
and repeat it like he always knew it. Martin will be starting kindergarten this
fall.

Santa (Vicky) is 9-years-old. She is very mature for her
age. She helps immensely with chores and taking care of her younger brothers, Martin
and Augustin. Often she likes to sit and talk with the adults after a meal. She
like to be called Vicky and so we do. Santa loves to have her hair done with colorful
hair things. She is doing first and second grade together this year, and with some
extra help, she hopes to finish third grade as well. She and her brothers came to
us after their Mom died during child birth.
